Pumpkin Patch

October at the Greeley County Library means the Pumpkin Patch! Our librarians and volunteer helpers spend hours putting the Pumpkin Patch together in the lot on the south side of the library. Then we have visitors throughout the month of October who come to see the results of their hard work. School classes from the Learn & Play babies through the Fifth Grade will visit. The Preschool – Fifth Grade classes will do crafts, listen to stories, explore the Pumpkin Patch, pose for pictures, and take home a book and a pie pumpkin. We have many generous donors who help make this possible every year. If you come through Tribune on Highway 27 during October, watch for the Pumpkin Patch in the lot south of the Library!

State Library Audiobooks Changing

Do you enjoy listening to audiobooks? The State Library of Kansas has been offering a free audiobook checkout service through the RB Digital app. Since that app is about to disappear, the Library is moving audio content to the Cloud Library app. As we get more information about moving your account, we will let you know. If you want to start a new account, we can help you right now! You need a State Library card, which we can set up for you (also free for Kansas residents). For more information click here: https://kslib.info/131/cloudLibrary or call or come into the library.

New Resource Offered by State Library of Kansas

The State Library of Kansas has added a new science resource, Today’s Science, to the Student Research page of their website. Free resources on this page work by verifying your Kansas internet provider address. Look for a link on our website to go directly to Today’s Science.

Hours & Current Services

The library is currently on Fall/Winter Hours. At this time adult computers are available for patron use, as are 3 of our kids’ computers. Video games will remain off for now, and toys will remain put away. We have a lot of new books and movies you and your family will enjoy. We are also able to borrow materials from other libraries through interlibrary loan. See you at the library!

Online Card Catalog

Want to see what books or authors we have in our library?

Our library has an online card catalog which you can use with handheld devices such as tablets and phones, as well as laptops and other computers. The URL is:

Once you are at the site you can add an icon to your home screen on an Iphone or Android phone for future use.

You can search the catalog without your library card number, but for other functions such as seeing what you have checked out, making lists, etc. you will need to sign in with your library card number and last name. If you don’t remember your library card number, give us a call, we’ll be happy to help you out!
