Library Services

How do I get a library card?

Just stop by the library and one of our staff members will provide you with a card.  We will need your current contact information. Your library card is free. With it you will be able to check out library materials and have access to patron computers.

What materials are available in the library?

Books for all ages
Large print fiction for adults
Audio books, large selection on CDs and a smaller selection on battery-operated MP3 players
Nonfiction books and CD audiobooks, other reference materials
Magazines
The Greeley County Republican newspaper to read in the library
DVDs of movies & TV series
Audiovisual kit with capability to transform your analog memories to digital
On-line Resources through the State Library of Kansas
A selection of books, CD audios, and DVDs for sale by donation

Printing/FAX

A library card is not required for patrons to use our printing or FAX services. Patrons can print from our computers or from their phones or other WiFi enabled devices. There is a small charge for these services. Students of Greeley County are allowed to print for school projects without charge.

How can I access the internet?

The library has 7 computers with internet access available to the public during business hours, 5 for children/teen use and 2 reserved for adult patrons. A library card is not required for use.
Free WiFi  is available 24 hours a day.

Video Games and Children’s Toys

The Xbox/Wii is available for use in the library.
A limited number of children’s toys are available for use in the library.
A computer with preloaded games and no internet access is available for children ages 5 and under.
Several Playaway Launchpads (computer tablets) with preloaded games and no internet access are available for children up to teenage for use in the library.

Inter Library Loan (ILL)

Our library participates in Inter Library Loan (ILL) services. Through this you can borrow materials from other libraries if we don’t own the book, audio book, or DVD you want. Ask one of our staff members for assistance, we’ll be glad to help.
